Selly is a platform designed to help small businesses sell products online. Sellers on Selly subscribe to a monthly plan, which grants them access to a streamlined interface for managing their products, orders, and customer interactions. Selly handles the full payment process of sellers, securely managing credit card transactions and transferring earnings directly to them.
For shoppers, Selly provides a straightforward search experience, enabling them to browse items by product category or by individual seller. The platform’s goal is to make buying and selling as intuitive as possible, emphasizing simplicity, trust, and ease of use.

As the UX/UI Designer for this project, I was tasked with creating a backend sales page that aligns with Selly’s brand style and design, using only the partially provided design slides for reference.
In addition, this page is to serve as a comprehensive, user-friendly solution to enable sellers to effectively track, manage, and analyze their sales on Selly.

Having defined the challenge, I proceeded to explore various competing backend management companies. I sought to get a sense of industry standards for the page I was assigned to create, which enabled me to create a framework for the page’s infrastructure and content.

In addition, I visited a clothing store where I interviewed the owner and was given permission to familiarize myself with the backend of their sales system. The opportunity for hands-on experience with software similar to that which I was tasked to create gave me insight into what a business owner’s needs, goals and pain points may be.

With the information gleaned from my research and interviews, I was able to build a page that encompasses all the features a small seller would need to effectively track, manage, and analyze their sales on Selly.
Emulating the pre-defined brand look, I built a user-centered sales page providing the smoothest possible experience for any seller!

Combining the research and identified user needs, I implemented these solutions to achieve the smoothest experience possible.
* Gross Profit Metrics Bar- gives sellers a quick overview of their finances
* Accessible CTA’s for easy navigation and action completion
* Easy filters and navigation bars to scroll between orders
* Color-coded tags for quick order assessment
* Confirmation modals for pleasant, smooth UX
* Bulk action features
* Comprehensive order page with full detailed view

Having gotten a sense for the page I was going to build from a UX standpoint point I began to think in design terms. After looking at similar interfaces, I noted that their overall visual scheme was very boring and technical. I assumed it was intentional to eliminate visual distraction that may come from a more elaborate design. That being said, I think that having a visually pleasing design motivates the user to interact with the interface.
Thankfully, Selly’s pre-defined look was light and airy, which is exactly the look I would've sought to create. Clean and sleek, the color palette is restrained, yet purposeful in drawing attention to key features.
